And I see that now there’s a streamlined approach to microblogging included in this new version of MarsEdit. I can just press control-option-P on my Mac and start typing in the popup window. Pressing the Post button submits the entry to Mirco.blog. Pretty neat.

I’m writing this entry using the new Mars Edit 5 which has just been released. I’ve used Mars Edit for many years now and I’m happy to see it continues to be developed. I’m particularly pleased to discover that it fully supports Markdown syntax.

We Drove down Edmonds Way just now from Aurora and took note of the point where the snow stopped and the roads and driveways are clear. We then drove to Edmonds Marina Beach Park but didn’t stay long. The wind was just a little too brisk for us. We did clearly see the snow-covered tops of the Olympics across Puget Sound.

Although my wife and I have moved from Atlanta to Seattle I like to think that I’m still a member of the Seed and Feed Marching Abominable band. I have been a member of this band for over a quarter of a century and have almost 20 years of photos on this site.

Glad to be mostly avoiding posting to Facebook and Twitter, although I do occasionally write someone on FB. And Micro.blog is seamlessly connecting to my Mastodon instance.

This show was great. He really warmed up the audience on a cold Saturday night here in Edmonds

That Ferry photo was actually taken yesterday afternoon. And the Sunny weather continues this Sunday. So much for Seattle being the rainy city although some mild precipitation is hinted at by the Windy app for later this week.

I’m still getting used to all of the features on my Apple Watch after more than a year of owning it. And of course there’s a new one on the market that I’m not the least tempted by.

I’m quite looking forward to seeing (and hearing) Mike Delamont this evening at the Edmonds Center for the Arts. The show is called God is a Scottish Drag Queen and comes with excellent reviews.

Excellent news about Australian film director Peter Weir receiving an honorary Oscar. Much deserved and certainly an Oscar is overdue.

And so I’ve just turned on the automatic posting of these posts in Micro.blog to my Mastodon instance which I’ve only started using in the last couple of days.

Continuing the watch “The Crown”. I’m quite fascinated by this show.

And Google is your friend.

I’ve got to workout how to conveniently sent entries that I post here in Micro.blog over to Mastodon. I’m certainly not leaving this place, but I’m beginning to experiment with the other service.

We spent quite a few minutes checking out this map over at the Marina in Kirkwood today.

At Edmonds Marina last Saturday A calm but rather cool late afternoon.

And here’s an example.

Fall is still hanging on here in Edmonds.

No problems criticizing Elon Musk here on Micro.blog.

An interesting article by James Fallows in the situation for Twitter followers.

A big windstorm came through here a couple of nights ago. Snohomish County got hit pretty hard with many people losing power. Here at the south end of county we didn’t get any wind and didn’t lose power.

Do I need to join this alternative to twitter?

My Apple Watch rather mysteriously went to sleep with a blank screen last night and could only be aroused by depressing the crown for a second or two. This morning it’s back to normal, so I don’t know what happened to cause the strange behavior, but it’s possible that pairing with the new phone caused a problem or …

It’s great to have learned the back roads from the Maple Leaf area of Seattle to Edmonds, especially on a rainy late Seattle afternoon when I-5 is very congested going north.
