Sent from Drafts on my iPhone while I figure out my Credit Card payment once again.

We have our airline tickets to spend a month in New Zealand. Now I just need to work on the itinerary!

Attempting to learn some eBay bidding strategies.

I’ve just installed Mona on phone and laptop so now I’m going to be getting distracted using yet another Mastodon client. Thank goodness the app situation here on Micro.blog is a little simpler.

#

We are heading out shortly for a Memorial Day barbecue event with my daughter and family. I’m looking forward having another pleasant outdoor event here in the Seattle region. It’s another gorgeous day.

#

Tried posting to Micro.blog on iOS and was told that I was suddenly on the trial version and needed to have a payment method. Now I have reverted to the free version and I’m thinking that might have something to do with this behavior. I’m posting this using Mars Edit from my MacBook Air

Trying to avoid all mention of Succession on Social media. And it’s particularly difficult today after the final episode aired last night.

#

We have finally relented and resubscribed to HBO just as it’s turned into MAX. We are really wanting to see the finally season of Succession.

#

Herb Alpert is coming to town in a few weeks. I’m glad to see he’s playing at a venue (Edmonds Center for the Arts) just down the road from us.

#

I checked out the latest Beta of Photoshop last week with its AI abilities and then deleted it. I’m not sure I’m ready to be playing weird animals, etc into my photos.

#

Watching Orca pod from Edmonds Beach.

#

I see that Tangerine Dream is on tour and is going to be in these parts in September. I saw the group back in the ’70s and so it might be time to check them out again! There have been many changes in their musical style and lineups, etc over the years but they are still a group of musicians to reckon with.

#

And here’s another sign that Spring is here in Edmonds.

#

DPReview is still operating as of this morning. I think it’s time for the editors to do an update to the update.

#

It’s actually beginning to feel like Spring around here, with trees blossoming, temperatures on the rise and my usual seasonal allergies acting up!

#

I’ve just gotten my second bivalent Covid vaccine. I received the first one back in September of last year so I’m definitely past due for this booster. So far, a day later, I’m not feeling too bad, although I have a bit of “mental bleariness” that could either be caused by vaccine side effects of the Mucinex decongestant that I’ve been taking for nasal congestion caused by seasonably allergies.

#

And now I’m really hoping that Netflix renews Wellmania for a second Season!

#

Another visit to the Marina in Edmonds.

#

We are watching the final episode of Wellmania on Netflix - another terrific Australian show.

#

It seems that at least they are going to archive dppreview content when it closes.

A while ago, just after lunch, the hired help with leaf blowers were making noise in the yard next to our Condo. One-day I suppose all these workers will be using electric blowers with strong batteries, and not gasoline, but there will still be the noise, albeit somewhat reduced in volume.

#

Yesterday was a Mall walking day here in Seattle but it’s looking like the sun may be shining for a few hours this afternoon and we can get out for a walk in the open air. For course that could change quickly since this is the Pacific Northwest.

#

I hate that dpreview is closing but at least there’s dprforum and dprevided to follow. One of these sites may eventually become the main replacement for the dpreview as far as interest and activity is concerned.

#

There’s a backlash brewing among young voters.

Good Friday in Australia is a public holiday and when I was growing up in Adelaide it was the only other day except for Christmas Day when the newspaper wasn’t published. Once again I’m showing my age.
